\par \plain\f5\fs18\cf0 \tab Wrote application for portfolio managers, using visual C++, sybase ODBC, which calculates the cost of trading actual holdings (turnover), given tax \tab basis and then translates the dollar cost into a curve tightening in terms of a basis point spread that is needed \tab to offset losses. The application is used \tab extensively during portfolio rebalancing to identify tax efficient trades. Designed, developed and implemented a financial language compiler and \tab interface wizard using visual C++ that allows actuaries and non-programmers to write financial forecasting models. The interface allows the actuarial \tab staff to use a menu driven interface to construct various financial environments. The interface then generates source code, similar to C++, which is \tab compiled and run/interpreted by the scanner, parser and assembler components of the language. This allows the actuary to concentrate on the \tab objectives of his/her task without having to worry about the technical aspects of higher level languages.

\par \plain\f5\fs18\cf0 \tab Developed Mortgage Server application in C++ under MS Windows 3.x/95. This application manages a 1.5 gigabyte database containing mortgage \tab pool information with historical factor and geographics. The software allows the client to create generic mortgage pools in order to generate cashflows \tab on pools that have not yet been issued (TBA's). The software can work together with our CMO product to allow the user to structure various \tab scenarios and generate those cash flows as well. Cold DDE links are used to support interprocess communications between Lotus 123, MS Excel and \tab other internal Fixed Income software. Developed communications software using Windows 3.x/95 Comm API and Borland C++ v4.52. This \tab application featured, among other things, terminal interface, XMODEM, XMODEM CRC, YMODEM, YMODEM-1k protocols and supports RFC \tab 959(FTP). Developed Windows 3.1 Heap Walker program using virtual device drivers. This application is currently being used by developers to \tab determine sources of memory leaks and to remove 'stuck' Tasks and DLL's without having to terminate Windows session. Assist junior level \tab programmers and PhD staff \tab in project organization and programming techniques. Design low level software for development staff such as \tab CatmullRom cubic \tab spline algorithms, templated (C++) block and linked list algorithms etc., Wrote API spy program to assist in the debugging of \tab third party DLL's.
