<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">You received a license key when you purchased your copy of TabMaster. The license consists of three lines. The first line</FONT> <FONT FACE="Courier New">is the &quot;BEGIN LICENSE&quot; keyword. The second line is the license, and the third line is the &quot;END LICENSE&quot; keyword.</FONT> <FONT FACE="Courier New">For versions 2.00 and above, TabMaster will prompt for the license key. Users who are upgrading from previous versions</FONT> <FONT FACE="Courier New">should go to &quot;Help&quot;/&quot;Apply License&quot;. Paste all three lines of the license into the text box and click &quot;Ok&quot;. If you did not </FONT><FONT FACE="Courier New">receive a license key or would like to upgrade, click on &quot;Request License&quot; button in the same dialog box.</FONT></P>

<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">Selecting &quot;File&quot;/&quot;New Project&quot; from the main menu will display an empty<BR>
tablature window. Clicking the &quot;insert&quot; key will display a dialog box<BR>
where you can enter attributes for your tablature entry (ie) string, fret,<BR>
action, and duration. Click &quot;Apply&quot; to accept this entry into the tablature.<BR>
To save the tablature select &quot;File&quot;/&quot;Save&quot; or &quot;File&quot;/&quot;Save As&quot; from the<BR>
main menu, give your project a name and click &quot;Ok&quot;.<BR>

<P ALIGN="CENTER"><A NAME="OPEN"><FONT SIZE="+1"><B>Open Existing Tablature/Project</B></FONT></A></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">To open an existing project, select &quot;File&quot;/&quot;Open Project&quot; from the main<BR>
menu. Select the project to open and click &quot;Ok&quot;. To import an existing<BR>
tablature file select &quot;File&quot;/&quot;Import Tablature&quot; from the main menu.<BR>
Select the file you want to import and click &quot;Ok&quot;. TabMaster has been<BR>
tested with various types of tablature files. Due to the varying styles<BR>
of tablature authors, TabMaster may experience difficulty parsing some<BR>
tablature. If this occurs, please contact technical support, attach <BR>
the tablature file to your EMail. TabMaster should never have any <BR>
difficulty reading back tablature that was created with TabMaster.<BR>
You can also drag a tablature file directly into the TabMaster main window. This will create a project for the tab and allow you to begin working.<BR>

<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">Assuming that you have loaded a tablature into TabMaster, select &quot;Tablature&quot;/&quot;Play&quot; or &quot;Tablature&quot;/&quot;Play Repeated&quot; from the main menu.<BR>
There is also an option to &quot;Play Range&quot; or &quot;Play Range Repeated&quot;.<BR>
Please see help on ranges to use this feature. This will play back the entries appearing in your tablature. You can cancel repeated playback by clicking on the tablature window itself or selecting &quot;Tablature&quot;/&quot;Stop&quot; from the main menu. You can also play back tablature by right clicking the mouse onto the tablature window. This will bring up a floating menu where you can select &quot;Play&quot; or <BR>

<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">TabMaster provides a feature to allow you to break down complicated passages<BR>
into smaller pieces, simplifying the learning process. To create a range glide the mouse over the tab entry of the first item in the range. Right click the mouse to bring up the floating menu. Choose the &quot;Start Range&quot; menu selection. Now glide the mouse to the tab entry of the last item in the range. Right click the mouse to bring up the floating menu. Choose &quot;End Range&quot; from the menu. To play the range select &quot;Tablature&quot;/&quot;Play Range&quot; or &quot;Tablature&quot;/&quot;Play Range Repeated&quot; from the main menu. A dialog box will appear. Select range you have just created and click &quot;Ok&quot;. You can modify the range by selecting &quot;Edit&quot;/&quot;Ranges&quot; from the main menu. A dialog box will appear. Double click the range item you wish to edit. You can also insert or remove ranges from this dialog box.</FONT>

<P ALIGN="CENTER"><A NAME="MIDI"><FONT SIZE="+1"><B>Working with MIDI Files</B></FONT></A></P>
<P><FONT FACE="Courier New">TabMaster provides a feature to allow you to import MIDI files. TabMaster translates the pitch notes from the MIDI file into the corresponding guitar pitch and selects a string and fret at which to play the note(s). To open a MIDI file select &quot;File&quot;/&quot;Import MIDI File&quot; from the main menu. TabMaster will decode the MIDI file and present you with a dialog box containing the list of tracks encountered in the file. Select the track you wish to tabulate. Currently, TabMaster only supports one track at a time. You can also drag MIDI files directly into the TabMaster main window.</FONT></P>
